Neglected diseases such as lymphatic filariasis, leishmaniasis, schistosomiasis, sleeping sickness, Chagas disease, Buruli ulcer, dengue and others are responsible for impaired childhood growth, mental retardation, blindness, amputation and diverse disability conditions. A brief overview of these diseases and their impact is given in this file.
